If you are a teacher or facilitator planning a session you will find all the resources related to each story here.
Values Money and Me is the UK's first free online teaching resource specifically designed to give young children a head start in life by helping develop their financial knowledge and abilities, as well as their attitudes and values towards money. Based in the fictional community of Pride Place, character-lead learning explores the families and their stories with interactive books, activities and quizzes.
Read the online
The interactive e-learning suite, games, downloadable lesson plans and classroom materials provide a variety of learning opportunities that can be linked to subject areas, including PSHE, SEAL, Citizenship, Mathematics, English and History.
Values, Money and Me contains 10 story units, each of which centres on a storybook and has accompanying downloadable lesson plans and classroom materials, as well as online interactive quizzes and games.
Creating group ground rules and managing disclosures
The interactive stories and calculators are embedded in the website for easy access but be aware that they are intended to be delivered as part of the whole unit, not as a standalone activity. They are designed as a starting point and a shared activity to engage the class and act as a springboard for the lessons. To ensure that children get the best out of the resource it is advised that you download and plan the whole unit, taking time to see how the elements fit together before you begin.
